Physical Therapy Assistant
Provide quality patient care by assessing and interpreting testing results. Assessing and evaluating patient's response to treatment. Plan, implement, and evaluate the treatment program.
Provide skilled caregiver and family training to patients and caregivers. Maintain safe and clean working environment. Carry out treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Assist patients to dress, Undress, put on and remove supportive devices, such as braces, splints, and slings.
Assist with the development of treatment plans and carries out activities of daily living. Performs physical therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises.
Document patients' progress and provide intervention to physical therapist. Report to physical therapist. Maintain patient records. Assist patients with mobility to and from bed.
Consistently report to physical therapist, patient progress/status to allow for updated of goals and modifications by physical therapist of treatment program.
Educate patients on proper body mechanics, education, and home exercise programs.. I also provided instruction to patients on how to use crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.
Provide outpatient care for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions. This includes, but not limited to, the following: Manual therapy, modalities, and therapeutic exercise.
Document patient's progress and make recommendations on the use of physical therapy treatment. Communicate with the patients to ensure that they are safe and effective.
Assist patient with physical therapist, wound care, and other duties as requested. Perform various tasks such as hydrotherapy, hot/cold packs, paraffin baths, and hot and cold packs.
Work with patients suffering from neurological disorders, sports injuries, and general orthopedic conditions. Also, I have experience with wound care, and application of splints.
Working with patients in a variety of settings including: Pediatrics, geriatrics, and surgery. (i.V.
